A monograph has been published: “INTEGRATION OF DISTRIBUTED GENERATION FACILITIES WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS: MODELS AND MARKET STRATEGIES” / I.M. Buratinskyi, A.O. Zaporozhets / General Energy Institute of the NAS of Ukraine / – Kyiv: Akademperiodyka, 2026. – 124 p. – ISBN 978-966-360-589-0.
The subject matter of the new monograph is highly relevant to the modern energy sector of Ukraine. Today, the development of distributed generation facilities—particularly solar and wind power plants combined with energy storage systems and reserve flexible capacities—is considered a key direction for enhancing the reliability, quality, and stability of the power supply. At the same time, the effective integration of such capacities requires a comprehensive approach to optimizing their structure, operating modes, and economic interaction with the market.
The publication is aimed at solving these scientific and applied tasks to minimize electricity production costs and increase the economic efficiency of these facilities. The monograph proposes techno-economic models for calculating the optimal parameters of renewable and hybrid power plants. Furthermore, it presents effective methods for developing trading strategies to operate in various segments of the electricity market, alongside modern approaches to automated power flow management and the transition between synchronous and isolated operating modes.
The book is intended for a wide audience of professionals, including researchers, practicing engineers, university lecturers, and students whose field of interest encompasses the development and operation of modern energy markets and distributed generation technologies.
