The building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is not merely an administrative structure. It is one of the historic cradles of the development of Ukrainian academic science, the core of the state’s research governance, and an enduring symbol of the continuity of Ukrainian scientific tradition.

The Russian strike on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine occurred in broad daylight, while Kyiv was under a massive attack by strike drones.

For Ukraine’s scientific community, this attack carries a profoundly tragic symbolic dimension.
