Technical Committee for Standardization

The Institute’s staff actively participates in coordinating scientific research in the field of comprehensive standardization under the “Energy Saving“ framework within the activities of the Technical Committee TC 48, the secretariat of which is officially hosted and operated on the basis of the Institute.

In accordance with the Regulation on TC 48, approved by the Order of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems” No. 178 dated June 17, 2016, the committee operates as an association of authorized representatives from interested enterprises, institutions, and organizations, including customers, developers, product manufacturers, executive authorities, local governments, business entities and their associations, scientific, technical, and engineering societies, consumer associations, relevant public organizations, as well as leading scientists and specialists. These stakeholders are engaged in the activities of the technical committee on a voluntary basis, fully reflecting the principle of representation of all interested parties.

Composition and Functions:

The Technical Committee TC 48 “Energy Saving” comprises representatives from 14 organizations. The committee is mandated with the functions of developing, reviewing, and endorsing national standards in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving, participating in the activities of related technical committees of international and regional organizations, and formulating Ukraine’s official position regarding the regulatory documents developed by these bodies.

October 9, 2020 | The first drafts of the national standards of Ukraine in the field of energy efficiency were reviewed and endorsed, namely: DSTU EN 378-2:20 (EN 378-2:2016, IDT), DSTU EN 62109-1:20 (EN 62109-1:2010, IDT; IEC 62109-1:2010, IDT), and DSTU EN 62109-2:20 (EN 62109-2:2011, IDT; IEC 62109-2:2011, IDT).
October 16, 2020 | The drafts of the national standards of Ukraine in the field of energy efficiency were reviewed and endorsed, namely: DSTU EN 378-2:20 (EN 378-2:2016, IDT), DSTU EN 62109-1:20 (EN 62109-1:2010, IDT; IEC 62109-1:2010, IDT), and DSTU EN 62109-2:20 (EN 62109-2:2011, IDT; IEC 62109-2:2011, IDT).
November 17, 2020 | It was reviewed and recommended to submit proposals to the SE “UkrNDNC” for the 2021 National Standardization Work Program regarding the development of national standards, harmonized with European ones, using the translation method for the subject areas assigned to TC 48 “Energy Saving” (10 standards).
