On May 28, 2026, the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving of NULES of Ukraine hosted the Open House Day & Job Fair – 2026.
As part of the celebrations marking the 128th anniversary of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving hosted its fourth annual Hospitality Day & Job Fair, which has become a significant event for the educational, scientific, and professional communities.
The event brought together students, prospective applicants, employers, scientists, and energy sector representatives around a common goal: training professionals who will participate in the recovery, modernization, and digital transformation of Ukraine’s energy sector. In the current environment, cooperation between education, science, and business forms the foundation for developing a workforce capable of ensuring the state’s energy security and sustainable development.
The event was supported by the Digital Energy Cluster and leading companies in the sector, serving as a platform for interaction among education, science, business, and youth.
Viktor KAPLUN, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving of NULES of Ukraine, delivered a welcoming address to the participants. He emphasized that under current circumstances, the consolidation of efforts among educational institutions, research facilities, and employers is of particular importance for training a new generation of professionals who will shape the state’s energy security and contribute to the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s energy sector.

The honored guests of the event included representatives of state authorities, science, education, the energy sector, professional associations, and the institute’s partner companies. The participants were addressed by Andrii RUSANOV, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Energy and Energy Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine; Ihor VOVK, Department Head at DTEK Grids LLC; Nataliia CHEREDNICHENKO, Director of the “Naukovyi” Lyceum of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council; Oleksandr BABENKO, Head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate in the Kyiv Region and Chairman of the Employers’ Council of the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving; and Andriy HEVKO, Vice President of the Thermal Energy Cluster. In their speeches, they emphasized the vital importance of developing engineering education and training highly qualified professionals for the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Among the honored guests of the event were also representatives of state authorities, research facilities, energy companies, professional associations, and educational institutions, including Artem MAIDANOV (E.NEXT-Ukraine Electrical Engineering Company LLC), Anatolii BARANOV (VAP BUD LLC), Dmytro HALAT (Cherkasyoblenergo JSC), Vitalii BABAK (Institute of General Energy of the NAS of Ukraine), Alina FEDORENKO (Nemishayeve Lyceum No. 2 Educational Association), Vasyl BUTIN (IMEST-PLUS LLC), Zinovii MONASTYRSKYI (Svitlotek Group of Companies), Viacheslav MOSKVIN (LEGRAND Ukraine Company), Ruslan ODYNCHENKO (AVSTORIZOL Ukraine LLC), Andrii IARZHEMSKYI (DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids), Nadiia DENYSENKO (VectorVS LLC), Viacheslav RILOV (RILOV PRO LLC), and other partners of the institute.

A special highlight for the student community was the awarding ceremony for the winners of the first student qualification competition in theoretical electrical engineering. LEGRAND Ukraine Company and VectorVS LLC actively contributed to the organization and recognition of the participants, with their representatives personally presenting the well-deserved awards and gifts.
Another key event of the day was the joint meeting of the Digital Energy Cluster Board and the Employers’ Council of the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving, which also included representatives from the Thermal Energy Cluster. The meeting was chaired by Vadym Tkachuk, Chairman of the Digital Energy Cluster Board and Rector of NULES of Ukraine. During the session, the participants discussed the pressing challenges of training engineering personnel for the energy sector, the prospects of dual education, the expansion of cooperation between educational institutions and employers, and graduate employment issues. Furthermore, a roadmap for the future development of the Digital Energy Cluster was presented. The attendees emphasized the vital need to consolidate the efforts of education, science, and business to build a workforce capable of driving the recovery, modernization, and digital transformation of Ukraine’s energy industry.
In the exhibition segment of the Job Fair, career opportunities for students and prospective applicants were presented by DTEK Grids LLC, Cherkasyoblenergo JSC, E.NEXT-Ukraine Electrical Engineering Company LLC, AVSTORIZOL Ukraine LLC, Svitlotek Group of Companies, LEGRAND Ukraine Company, IMEST-PLUS LLC, NIK-ELECTRONICS LLC, VectorVS LLC, Silpo-Food LLC, RILOV PRO LLC, ENERGYGROUP LLC, Ukrhydroenergo PJSC, Zernovyi Dim LLC, and the Representative Office of UPONOR GmbH in Ukraine.
The event was also attended by representatives of general secondary, vocational pre-higher, and higher education institutions that train future professionals in technical fields. In total, the fair was attended by over 300 future power engineers, automation specialists, and thermal energy engineers, including high school students and graduates of colleges and lyceums. The hosting of the Hospitality Day & Job Fair has once again confirmed that the Education and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving is a powerful hub for training engineering personnel, successfully bridging education, science, and business for the development of Ukraine’s energy sector.
